Another great piece of work from Gibbo, and I think also some contribution from Mrs. Gibbo judging by the footage.  clapping

Thanks for all the work you put into these, it really does show what we do and how we do it.  Wink

Not sure they can issue a Section 5 en masse, so that would mean processing each of us individually with the camera operators having to give statements as to how they felt they were harrassed by each of us.[/quote]
I'm not sure, but I think that if there were 1000 of us following a CCTV Car then it would still be a 'procession' so s.12 POA would still apply
Once we have done a few Saturdays and have perfected our technique, I'm sure there will be willing volunteers to do mini mobs on weekdays
If you needed someone for a couple of Monday's a month I'd be up for it - they're about the only days when my shifts (don't ask!) and SWMBO allow at the moment!! Mind you, if we're still doing this next April, I might be more available as I work in the Public Sector and will probably have been made redundant by then!

From a quick look at the relevant legislation it seems that WCC is acting unlawfully by discriminating against those who are unable to use a mobile phone! Disability Discrimination Act 1995 Part III para 19 refers.

I've just fired off one asking about his failure to keep proper records based on what Rowley said. Wriggle little fishy!

Dear Mr Green

As you know, I and other concerned members of the public have been seeking transparency in the deployment of mobile CCTV units. I recently had a reply from Cllr Rowley in which he said that “there is no particular fixed location or fixed schedule within which they are deployed”. Is this true? I am sure you are aware that the Home Office’s ‘A good practice guide for the implementation of redeployable CCTV’ requires “Standard authorisation forms for each deployment – This needs to include reasons for the deployment, objectives and expected and actual outcomes, and tape logging procedures”. It is my understanding that your company completes such forms for Lambeth, so I assume the procedures should be similar for your contract. Might I ask that these details be made public as soon as the standard authorisation forms are completed. If, on the other hand, NSL is not complying with Home Office guidelines and, indeed, Westminster’s own Code of Practice, perhaps you would explain why not?

I look forward to your early reply

Yours faithfully

Yes, I realise that is one of our points but if we can throw in "What about the elderly & disabled" I think it will get a lot more support than a bunch of hairy arsed bikers moaning about "only £1 a day"

I posted our upcoming events onto www.keepbritainbiking.com and got a response about somewhere else charging for bikes.

According to Denbighshire County Council (North Wales), bikes are expected to park in the designated parking bays, but then buy a normal ticket, the same as a car. There is not need to display the ticket, but it must be shown to the parking enforcement officer if challenged.

Might be worth a look by the supporters more local to there than London.
