agree with you, today showed that 99% of the public are ANGRY  at Westminster parking policy and we have to make the most of this now.

If we did that demo every day for a week, the charges would be scrapped.

The only demo that surpasses it is the Mega Demo, when 5000+ attended.

I had one guy from Jordan telling me that he was 100% behind us that I talked to for about 10 mins he wanted a photo of himself on the island with the bikes all in the background and then as I was parked up I asked if he would like another shot but sitting on my bike which he seemed to love. I gave him a flier and told about the website and that if he went there he could have a look about and get back to us to tell us how he thinks he might best be able to help us. I had a group of teenagers asking to have a photo taken with me too & even had 1 guy on a bus knock on the window and ask me to pass him a few fliers thought the window in a supportive way.

Thats not to say that everyone was supportive, I had one guy telling me it was a disgrace but I stood firm and told him that the level of inconvieniance suffered here today for 15 mins paled into significance compared to the suffering bikers have felt and that WCC parking dept plan to dish out to other motorists and subsiquently damage the West End economy. He didn't want to hear it and obviously had no come back but I kept smiling and he walked off in a huff telling me he was going to get a camera crew down to do a piece against us. I didn't say anything but I just thought, well if you can get them down here I don't care what their motives are as any publicity is good publicity.

I thought it worked very well. As more people get to hear at WCC ripping off everyone, motorists included, then the tide of opinion will turn away from us as a mere inconvenience and towards them as the greedy WCC leeches they are.

That was a thoroughly enjoyable demo.  The best thing is that we didn't actually "cause" the blockage, just acted as facilitators ;-)

Great work to all the guys behind the scenes organising this!

Just about everyone and their dog conspired against me over the last few days to make sure I did not attend the demo, but I did manage to watch the gathering via the TFL traffic cams and now I have seen Catwomans excellent video I feel even more upset I could not attend.
Well done everyone, I think we have hit a formula here for maximum effect, by just turning up, on mass, at a given point and time and letting the good old London traffic snarl up the capital, result!  scooter

There was a bloke in a van by me, and after forcing his way through to proper fubar the north-west entrance, sat there. about 5 minutes before we left, just said: is that it? To him it was all just part of a days sitting in traffic....
