Don't know if this has alreasy been covered but a thought occured to me in the middle of last night!  Huh?

Why don't we start a list of all us with, "big bikes" as it were, willing to have a passenger whom, otherwise would not be able to partake on the motorway?
That way the L platers and scooterists who don't fancy the motorway can then PM/ contact the willing and pair up.
I have already offered my riding service to LDN, which he has accepted and I'm sure after a short while of adapting to the conditions, he wouldn't mind doing my camcorder work for me.
whilst it wouldn't add to the number of bikes, it sure would add to the number of bodies and add to the commeraderie of the day and campaign as a whole.

No probs (I'm not an L plater BTW Grin)

L platers who want to join the demo and are offered a seat on another bike can leave their bike at the Ace cafe and collect it at the end of the demo when we will return to the Ace.

This sounds like a very good idea Chalky.  Got any ideas about letting the L platers and small scooters know that if they turn up at the Ace we will make sure they have a pillion seat for the ride round the M25?

That way they can leave their bikes at the Ace and pick them up later for the ride into town.

it would be good to have a final route in which they could meet, and join in.
i know a few of my friends that wont be going because of their L plates but sed they will drive up to one of the services to cheer us on
and of corse make their donations to the fund.

Oi, my featherless friend, I did not see in your edited itinery, the obligatory trip to the campaign oasis, commonly known as The Lamb, for a post ride gargle. I have no doubt it would have been well earned by 7 ish, eh? Huh? thumbsup

I'm sure I speak for all us regulars when I say welcome to the forum and to the cause, and many thanks for your kind offer.  On the 19th I will be actively trying to pair up those who need pillions with those who can offer one, but I'm sure that common sense will mostly prevail and there will be some kind of natural pairing going on.

See you on the 19th BigJ.  It's going to be a blast. bike

I can't wait for this, I got stung a few weeks ago. They took £40 off me, but I'm a student at college, my wage is the EMA I recieve, I only get £30 a week, so it hits hard for people at college. I can't take my vespa on the motorway so should I just turn up at Ace? Look forward to meeting you all!

Hi mate, welcome to the mad house, yes turn up at the ACE around 1600 and you can join us on the protest run into Central London, great fun, and let them hear how mad you feel about your fine.

Hi Joshuadrooney and welcome to the forum.

Can I just just check if you know that Westminster offer to cancel your PCN if it your first one received in a motorcycle bay where you didn’t realise you had to pay?

I had no idea about that, I was a bit intimidated by it all to be honest, never received a ticket before or since

Have a look at this page on the main site and follow the link there back to the thread on this forum.

http://www.notobikeparkingtax.com/appeal-motorcycle-scooter-parking-tickets-pcns/

The first PCN cancellation has not been very well advertised by Westminster Council, almost as if they would stand to make more money by not telling people about it. May I suggest you email the Council explaining that you have learnt of their policy for cancelling the first PCN, and perhaps ask why this was not made known to you at the time of your informal appeal. You should get your £40 back, if not I would like to know their reasons why.

Why don't you come to The Ace say 10.30ish and get a lift round the M25 with someone. There will be plenty of spare seats with other riders, go on you know you want to?!?!?!?!

Bald Eagle has already stated that we will actively be pairing up L platers with those who can and are willing, for the big event.

You really don't want to miss out on possibly the biggest bike procession this country has ever witnessed do you?
