Nothing short of brilliant work! Bloody public servants only get off their fat arses to do their job, when someone like freeparkingwarrior gets on their case and actually tell them what their duties are!!!

IF ever they were confirmation of my analogy about the Chilcott Inquiry, FPW perseverance is a lesson to us all. Never, never , never take no for an answer. It is an inherent British Civil Servant trait to seek the path of least resistance, and thus, any excuse to get out of having to do something outside their normal daily routine they will use. And this is an Modus Operandi drummed into them by the highest in their departments. I have heard that the OGC, who are supposed to be following up the EU Commissioners complaint are so inundated with similar complaints that rather than taking the relevant transgressors to task, they are collaborating to formulate a response that might appease. By this method, they can get rid of the less pressing ones, which can amount to as high as 9 out of 10. Only when it is impressed on them that the complainants are not going to give up do they give the original complaint the gravitas that ALL such complaint deserve. FPW - we salute your tenacity as we all will benefit from your individual persistence. W

I think FPW deserves the biggest ever round of applause! NB: There used to be an applauding face in the old forum, where is it now?

Many thanks to you all but we would not be where we are without all of your support. Here is the latest exchange I have had with the OFT.

Sorry but, unless I am mistaken, I remember having read some correspondence with the OFT confirming that they have a case number against WCC and that they are indeed investigating the issue. Or is it with another body?

Yes the case number is quoted in abbreviated form on their reply "E/E/E 75795"full case number is "EPIC/ENQ/E/75795" suffice to say they are still investigating unless I hear from them to the contrary.
